On the morning of September 3, 2005, the General Assembly commemorating the 60th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japan and the world anti-fascist war was held ceremoniously in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Hu Jintao, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, chairman of the State Council and chairman of the Central Military Commission, delivered an important speech.
