碳/碳复合材料是由碳粘合剂作为基体和碳纤维作为“增强剂”所组成的聚合物碳多相复合体系(Multiphase Composite Systems of Polymeric Carbons)。它具有很高的升华温度、高的烧蚀热、在升高温度时强度增加、抗热震性能好、尺寸稳定性好、抗裂纹传播性能较好(具有“假弹性一塑性变形”行为)、比重小、抗幅射性能好及化学惰性等特征。因此,在航天和航空等尖端技术部门碳/碳复合材料得到很大发展,它是一种极有发展前途的新型材料。
