This article describes the results of studies on improving the combustion performance and increasing the output power of a Japanese supercharged two-stroke diesel engine. The performance data is obtained from a single cylinder test machine of the same dimensions as the ZF series, with an air flow chart available in its clear cylinder. Since net power has been increased 1.8 to 2.0 times that of the original turbocharger, these data are useful for developing high-speed, more compact, and higher performing engines. This engine will be able to develop for the heavier tanks that will be used in the harsher conditions of the future.
