According to the China Electronics News, IBM said in a statement recently released that it has developed the world’s smallest capable transistor, which is only 6 nanometers in length, at least 10 times smaller than the most advanced transistor currently in production . IBM said the ability to produce transistors of such small size will allow semiconductor vendors to integrate transistors in the computer chip 100 times more than currently possible.
