(162) refers to the index of medical complications (No. 162) with statistical serial number (162) in the Disease Classification Report; (E5) refers to the statistical serial number (E5) of the external cause of injury. Medical accidents, abnormal reactions, and late complications [hereinafter referred to as (E5)]. In the book “Classification of Hospital Diseases and Classification of Surgical Operations”, it is considered that (162) = (E5). Actually this describes the relationship between the two, that is, for the same statistical object, from the nature of the injury and The same statistical description of the two different sides of the external cause of the injury. However, in the practice of ICD-9, the author found that (162) and (E5) do not have exactly the same relationship.
