林培庐(1902~1938),名植桐,字培庐、培庵,揭阳桃山苏坑(今揭东县登岗镇)人。出身于书香门第,幼随祖父迁居榕城,其曾祖林晦阁、父林清源、叔父林清扬都是当时名噪一时的文人名士。林培庐自幼天赋异禀,聪颖过人,20世纪20年代就读于北平国立平民大学6年,毕业后在韩山师范、揭阳一中等校任教。民俗学研究是五四时期的“显学”之一,林培庐在学期间与同乡好友丘玉麟就深受北京大学歌谣研究会影响,常在京津各大报纸发表民俗学研究文章。自1930年开始,他就在报刊从事民俗研究的编辑工作。1930年在《岭东国民日报》编“民俗”专刊共98期,同时期又在《潮梅新报》编《民
Lin Peilu (1902 ~ 1938), the name of Tong, Zi Pei Lu, Pei Temple, Jieyang peach Hill Sukeng (now Jiedong Denggang Town) people. Lin Peilu, a fellow countryman and a fellow friend, Yu Yulin, was greatly influenced by the Peking University Institute of Folk Songs. During the period, Lin Peilu often published folklore articles in the major newspapers in Beijing and Tianjin. Since 1930, he has been engaged in editorial work in folklore in the press.
