山东玉米从建国以来至今经过5次品种更换。第一次品种更换,是用选育的品种替代地方品种。到1952年玉米面积由1万亩扩大到100多万亩。推广品种主要有金皇后、红骨头、白马牙、安东马牙、黄县二马牙,华东2号等品种。第二次品种更换,推广了品种间杂交种。推广面积较大的组合有坊杂2号、坊杂4号、泰杂2号、齐玉24号、齐玉25号、齐玉26号、莱杂7
