容积增加系数(以下简作KYO)是每g药物溶解在适当溶剂中所占有的容积ml数。在药房的实际工作中,如果使用药物的KYO,可以提高配制液体制剂的效率,配制时可减少量取操作,并且不需要有刻度的容器,直接称取药物,根据其KYO计算出占有的容积,再从处方的总容积中减去此值,即为应加的溶剂,然后取应加的溶剂与药物混合溶解即得。例如:制备10%强蛋白银溶液2000ml,由于强蛋白银的KYO为0.64,故蒸馏水应取1872ml(2000-0.64×200=1870),按常规混合溶解后其总容积即为2000ml。另外,利用KYO还可计算出一个处方的总容积。例如:按下列处方制备混悬液:乙酰氨胂25g;蒸馏水300ml,由于乙酰氨胂的KYO为0.59,故其总容积为314.7ml(300+0.59×25)。
