经过全体编者四年多的艰苦努力,由复旦和上海交大合作编写的《21世纪大学英语》全套四种16册(《读写教程》、《听说教程》、《练习册》和《教师参考书》各四册)已于2000年底全部出齐。自1999年5月第一册推出伊始,这套新教材就受到全国大学英语教师的普遍关注,当年即有百余所学校采用,发行量达8万套。2000年发行量增至12万套。2001年更大幅度地增至24万套,使用的学校达到了300多所。令人欣慰的是,广大师生对我们的新教材给予了充分的肯定。扬州大学的师生“普遍反映这套教材不仅紧扣新《大纲》的要求,
After more than four years’ hard work by all the editors, a complete set of four kinds of “21st Century College English” written by Fudan University and Shanghai Jiaotong University (“Reading and Writing Course”, “Hearing and Speaking Course,” “Exercise Book” and “Teacher’s Reference Book ”each four volumes) by the end of 2000 all together. Since the publication of the first volume in May 1999, this new textbook has received widespread concern from college English teachers across the country. In that year, more than 100 schools adopted the circulation of 80,000 copies. 2000 circulation increased to 120,000 units. In 2001, the number increased to 240,000 sets and the number of schools used reached more than 300. Fortunately, the majority of teachers and students fully affirmed our new teaching materials.
