新疆重镇喀什、和田地区,居住着众多能歌善舞、热情奔放的维吾尔族人。美丽的自然风光,特殊的地理环境,非常适合植桑养蚕,素有“塞外江南”、“荒漠明珠”之美称。由于南疆气候炎热,干燥少雨,靠水利资源灌溉生长旺盛的植物,浓绿的果树和万顷良田,再加上塔克拉玛干的黄沙,构成了当地主要的环境色彩,因此在姑娘们的穿着里,饱和鲜艳的色彩成了生活中的主调,与绿的树木黄色沙土形成了鲜明的对照,并成了不可缺少的组成部分,使黄色沙土盎然生辉。
