我原籍广东三水县,木棉欧村人。上世纪三十年代中,父母把我送往香港谋生,得到共产党员的引导,参加了当地的抗日救亡运动。以后,又转往东江,参加了广东人民抗日游击队东江纵队,在港九大队任副官、军需主任。1945年春节后的一天,突接东江纵队司令部的通知,调我到活动于珠江三角洲的广东人民抗日游击队珠江纵队工作。我二话没说,将手头的工作简单地作了交接,立即随交通员启程到中山县五桂山珠纵驻地。在那里见到司令员林锵云,递上东纵的介绍信,他热情地握着我的手说:
My hometown of Sanshui in Guangdong, kapok European village. In the thirties of the last century, my parents took me to Hong Kong to earn a living and were guided by party members and participated in the local anti-Japanese national salvation movement.
