不久前,在西冲附近的海面上,一天内2人被鲨鱼吞食,加上其它地区也有人被鲨鱼吃掉,于是令人“谈鲨色变”。鲨鱼自恃强悍敢对大于自己身体的动物发起进攻,诸如对鳍脚目动物和鲸目动物,公海水域就是它们拼搏激战之地。鲨鱼之凶残,从其生育方式也可见其一斑,一般的鱼都是卵生的,卵在体外受精、孵化出小鱼。但鲨鱼则不同,如砂鲛卵在体内受精孵化,数十个卵从卵巢同时输送到输卵管内,孵化出来的幼鲨在母腹内互相残杀,直至只剩下最凶猛的一条。这条幼鲨则以吞食继续输送来的卵为生,还未出世就已如此厉害,更何况长成以后。
