The idea of creating a worldwide football match has long existed in the heads of football leaders. On May 21, 1904, the first President of FIFA, Frenchman Robert Gellan, put forward this idea for the first time to the football leaders of all countries. However, due to the lack of political, sports and willingness to participate in the country, the plan was aborted. After the First World War, the French Juer Reimite was elected third president of FIFA. He has long aspired to set up an international football competition to promote the development of football.
