玛丽·吉巴澳文化中心位于法属新喀里多尼亚的首府努美阿,由意大利建筑师伦佐·皮亚诺以颂扬当地的卡纳克土著文化(Kanak Culture)为理念设计而成。中心由十座大小不同、功能各异的房子组成,用作卡纳克文化的研究基地。这是一个真正意义上的村落.有道路、绿地、林木和公共活动场所等。虽坐落在岸上却与海洋紧密相连。设计上着重于考虑利用空气的自然流动。以及使用现代设计手法表达南太平洋的传统文化。
Located in Noumea, the capital of French New Caledonia, the Marie Chiba Australian Cultural Center was designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano for celebrating the local Kanak Culture . The center is made up of ten houses of different sizes and different functions, serving as research centers for Kanak culture. This is a true village with roads, green spaces, trees and public places. Although situated on the shore, it is closely linked with the sea. The design focuses on the natural flow of air. As well as the use of modern design techniques to express the South Pacific’s traditional culture.
