The latest domestic and international seismic codes discuss the differences between the seismic evaluation of existing and newly designed structures. A detailed guide to the structural features of materials has been published, as well as a unique procedure for reliability analysis. The seismic performance model of smooth reinforced concrete structure plays an important role and needs to be further improved. The results of tests on reinforced concrete columns were reported, which were designed according to the old norms dating back to the 40-70s of the 20th century. The study focuses on the ability of members to rotate under monotonic loading and describes the first part of an extension study in both documents, both of which deal with monotonic and cyclic problems.
