In recent years, the bridges of many countries in the world have been hit by ships, causing major accidents that led to the destruction of the bridge. With the continuous development of transportation, the volume of vessels navigating in ports and navigable rivers has increased, so that the bridges that were not designed to consider the collision avoidance were repeatedly hitched and wrecked. According to the statistical analysis, the collision of the ship with the bridge pier has become a sharp problem faced by the bridge engineering community. Such incidents often result in serious consequences such as bridge collapse, ship sinking, human casualty and long-term disruptions to the land and water transport routes, and the cost of rebuilding the bridges and clearing the waterway is staggering.
