Japanese family novels change with the changes of the times, which is a microcosm of Japanese historical society. Different social structures and cultural patterns in different periods have built up the deep cultural spirit of family novels in different periods in Japan. This paper attempts to select a representative family novels in Japan as an example to illustrate the typical times and common features conferred by family novels in the process of historical changes. First, the time-based family novels are through the description of family relationships and the rise and fall of social life to see a certain historical period of the essence of social life novels.
