王实甫的《西厢记》从唐代元稹的《莺莺传》到金元时期董解元《西厢记诸宫调》,不断丰富内容,细化人物,合理情节,深化主题,使故事更加完整充满真实。故事讲述了张生与莺莺曲折的爱情但最终二人终成眷属的爱情故事。在《西厢记》中,王实甫成功塑造了张生、崔莺莺等细腻真实的人物形象,更在整个故事中成功贯穿了三个具有个性的女性人物形象,即莺莺、红娘与老夫人三人。三人不同的性格特征和人生价值观使得故事的发展充满戏剧性。
Wang Shih-fu’s The Romance of the West Chamber started with The Warriors of Yingying in the Yuan Dynasty in Tang Dynasty and Dong Jieyuan’s Various Houses in the Jin and Yuan Dynasties. It enriched the content, refined the characters, plotted the facts and deepened the theme so as to make the story more complete and full of reality. The story tells the story of Zhang Sheng and Yingying twists and turns of love, but eventually the two married family love story. In The Western Chamber, Wang Shih-fu succeeded in shaping the delicate and realistic character images of Zhangsheng and Cui Yingying. In the whole story, it succeeded in penetrating three individual female characters, namely Yingying, the matchmaker and the old lady. The three different personality traits and values of life make the development of the story full of drama.
