This article reports the trial performance of PVDF piezoelectric thin film transmit transducers operating at frequencies greater than 1 MHz and PVDF piezoelectric thin film receiving transducers with MOS circuits. The influence of different material front and back lining and PVDF layers on transmitting and receiving sensitivity and frequency response are discussed.
