经铁道部外资办与机车车辆工业总公司批准,我厂利用世界银行第六期铁路行业部分贷款,拟购买两台卧式加工中心,于1993年9月委托中国技术进出口总公司中国国际招标中心进行了公开国际招标,有德国、日本、美国、意大利等二十多家国外厂商参加,可以说是汇集了当前加工中心的世界水平。通过评标,对卧式加工中心的技术性能、水平、指标有了进一步的了解,拓阔了视野,扩大了知识面,从中也体会到一些当前国际上加工中心发展的趋势。 加工中心是60年代末、70年代初发展起来的一种高度机、电、液、仪一体化的机械加工产品,集钻、铣、镗、铰孔、测量等功能于一机的多刀多托盘由计算机控制的全自动化的高技术设备。加工中心一般分立式、卧式和龙门三种型式,工作台面尺寸分为大、中、小三类,每种加工中心都具有四轴以上的控制轴,有二个以上的托盘及托盘交换系统,有刀库及换刀装置,有排屑、冷却、润滑系统,以及控制这些动作与进给量的PLC
