日本长野县果树试验场进行以圆叶海棠为基砧、M26为中间砧(中间砧长为30cm)的富士苹果不同栽植方法的试验。栽植距离为1.5×4m,树形为纺锤形。两种栽植方法是:中间砧露在地面以上(中间砧与基砧嫁接接合部离地表5cm以下)和中间砧的一半埋在地面以下(秋季在树基部埋土至中间砧的一半高度)。结果表明,定植后4~5年,中间砧露地苹果树树体生长减弱,9年生时其树体大小只有中间砧
Japan’s Nagano fruit tree test site to conduct the test of the different cultivation methods of Fuji apple with the leaf-begonia as the rootstock, M26 as the intermediate anvil (the middle anvil length is 30cm).
