The authors tested the analgesic efficacy of a pain-relieving spray of tonsil after double-blind testing. Froom & Boisseau (1979) has reported that local anti-inflammatory analgesics, Benzydamine hydrochloride, are effective in controlling sore throat. The authors observed 100 cases of adult and pediatric patients after tonsillectomy. The rats in the experimental group were treated with nociceptin (0.15% w / v) and the control group with placebo.
