本文对十七世纪字书《正字通》的4000左右常用字的反切和直音进行了系联,结合中古音系,系联出韵母43个。该音系具有效、咸山等韵摄开口二等牙喉音字与三四等合流、开口二等(牙喉音除外)与一等合流、果摄字开合不分、“私咨”“之时”独立成类、部分韵摄字有两读等特点,是明末清初带有赣方言特点的江淮官话音系。
