内蒙古公安厅信访处原副处长侯宝山,1951年3月出生于甘肃省古浪县一个普通的农民家庭。1969年高中毕业后应征入伍,当过基建工程兵,后又编入武警部队黄金11支队。1972年12月加入中国共产党,1990年9月转业到内蒙古公安厅从事信访工作,一干就是15年!2005 年3月4日,因劳累过度、积劳成疾,突发心脏病牺牲在工作岗位上,享年54岁。侯宝山英年早逝后,中共中央政治局委员、公安部部长周永康签署命令,追授侯宝山同志为“全国公安系统二级英模”的称号;内蒙古自治区党委、政府决定授于侯宝山同志“内蒙古自治区模范信访工作者”荣誉称号,并在全区开展向侯宝山同志学习的活动。
