古典音乐唱片的大量重复,是很有趣的现象。这同文学名著的翻印是不尽相似的。据1933年的统计,光是英国版的亨德尔的《广板》,就有37种唱片。《蓝色多瑙河》有41种,《命运交响曲》这样的大部头,也有40多种。60年代,按美国所出密纹唱片目录所收来看,《合唱交响曲》有17种。前面提到的《海顿交响曲全集》,也出过两种“版本”。70年代那庞大的《贝多芬全集》也有两种供人选择。
A lot of repetition of classical music recordings is a very interesting phenomenon. This is not the same with the famous literary reprint. According to 1933 statistics, just a British version of Handel’s “Broads”, there are 37 kinds of records. There are 41 species of “Blue Danube” and more than 40 kinds of “Symphony of Destiny”. In the 1960s, according to the catalogs of the Michigan recorded compact discs, there were 17 species of “Chorus Symphony”. The “Haydn Symphony Collection” mentioned earlier, but also out of two “version ”. There were also two choices for the huge Beethoven Complete Works in the 1970s.
