众所周知,在电火花机床上对工具电极或被加工零件施加振动,有利于排除电蚀产物,这会提高加工效率。根据被加工表面的形状以及加工面积、深度和规范的不同,加工效率有时可提高2~4倍。人们通常都是使用电磁振动器,其频率为100Hz,在电火花加工的实践中,也使用超声谐振振动器,其频率为18~44kHz。当采用这种振动器时,振动系统的波长应严格地与超声振动波长成倍数。同时,对工具电极的固定方法也提出了苛刻的要求。工具电极损耗后,振动的谐振状态遭到破坏,因而有必要采用一种自动变换谐振频率的装置。
