在皖北平原、沂蒙山军营传颂着一位回族残疾妇女送子参军的动人故事。她就是53岁的安徽省太和县城关镇第二小学职工康玉珍。10岁那年,一场病魔使她右腿高位致残。在生活刚刚绽露一丝微笑的时候,不幸却偏偏再一次降临到她的头上。38岁那年,她的丈夫猝然去世,留给她的除了家中仅剩的5元钱外,就是上有73岁的婆母,下有4个未成年的孩子。巨大的打击、沉重的生活负担使她难以承受,一度失望想轻生。但是党和政府的关怀照顾使她坚强地走了过来,将4个孩子抚养成人。1984年以来,她忍受家庭的艰辛,先后把3个儿子送到部队,献出了一颗残疾人崇高的爱国之心。
In the northern Anhui Plain, the Yimeng Mountain military camp spread a touching story of a disabled woman of Hui nationality who sent her to join the army.
