Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) values can be used for follow-up after colon cancer surgery, many patients with negative lymph node cancer still died of tumor recurrence, the authors tried CEA to follow-up the prognosis of these patients. Analysis of 572 cases of T1-4NOMO colon cancer treated with curative resection from 1985 to 1993 by MSKCC.
