南京轧钢总厂是1987年开始实行承包经营责任制的。厂长丁国良承包以来,上交税利5913万元,新增资产4768万元。这个承包水平在全省冶金系统的同类企业中是最高的。经过奋力拼搏,该厂产值连续两年突破亿元关;实现税利平均达2475.2万元,比承包前的1986年增长26.76％。目前,全厂已初步形成了8000万元固定资产,能生产线材、冷弯型钢、高频焊管、镀锌焊管、农用薄壁喷灌管、家俱管、冷轧带钢、冷轧螺纹钢等,年产钢材达15万吨。
