“螺江夜月”应是螺洲最美的自然景观之一。螺女江位于闽江下游,与乌龙江交汇。明代高廷礼写过一首《螺江夜泊》诗:“寒潮欲落海天宽,极浦维舟夜色阑。月色满衣天上坐,星河卷幔镜中看。清宵大地江中静,古庙严霜析漏寒。明发不愁归路晚,三峰只在白云端。”诗中第三、四句,写月夜霜晨置身小舟,月光如银撒满衣襟,望江中水色澄明,上是天,下也是天,人如悬坐半天空;再看那满天星斗和银河,有如撩开布幔一样映人跟帘,又如镶嵌在水银玻璃镜中,深邃而又真切。诗句意境空明,令人击节。诗中提到的那个古庙就是螺女庙,又称素女祠。螺女的故事屡见于古籍记载,《锦绣万花谷》前集卷五引《坡诗注》:“谢端钓于江上,获巨螺,置于家,每归则饮食
