马忠武同志在耀县北部的特困山区阿子乡工作了24年,1993年4月调寺沟信用社工作。他的工作历程中处处表现着一个共产党员献身事业、不谋私利、忘我工作的高贵品质和情操。连续20年被评为县农村金融先进工作者,4次评为市级农村金融红旗手,1991年、1992年连续被省农行评为“八五”立功竞赛先进个人,1992年被评为全国金融系统劳动模范。1991年被中共铜川市委评选为“模范党员”,受到表彰奖励,被群众誉为“农民的贴心人”。扎根山区阿子乡地处耀县北部山区,沟壑纵横,交通困难,经济文化十分落后。1970年马忠武由大队会计选拔到阿子信用社工作时,信用社帐面各项存款余额只有两千元.贷款余额只有三千元。经他20多年的努力,拓宽了业务,搞活了经济,他调离时阿子社的贷款余额增长到39万元,存款余额增长到50多万元。近10年来,贷款每年收回率都在90％以上。20年来,信用社没有发生不安全事故和贷款资金损失,各项工作年年在联社评比中名列前茅。当今社会有一些被称为“公仆”的人,或升官,或发财,或安排子女.或寻情钻眼调离艰苦环境,或利用关系和权力,往出力少、挣钱多的单位挤,甚至一些人把这些做为新时期衡量一个人能力大小的标尺。对这些,忠武同志却无动于衷。他曾先后三次谢绝组织打算要他出山到条件好的地方工
