现代教学理论认为:课堂教学是教学工作的中心环节。然而,实际工作中课堂外的补偿教学却占据很重要的比重,往往能使教学成绩得到很大提高,但却忽视了课堂教学的更新,以陈旧的方式来促进学生的学业发展,以额外的劳动来补充课堂教学的效果,对学生的高压管理成为业绩取得的保障。如何改变这种现状,让学生从繁重的学业负担中解放出来,让教师从疲乏的状态中脱颖而出呢?教学中的研究活动,尤其是课堂教学中对学生、教材、教法的研究活动,是改变现状的必由之路。
