本文运用大量素材,从美国英语在丰富语言的创造性、对古英语特征的保留、对多民族语言的吸收融化以及对俚语的广泛使用等方面详细论述了美国英语的发展特征。论证了美国英语在拼写、语法、词汇等许多方面,经过继承、归纳、融化、创造,不断丰富和发展了自己的语言体系的过程;探讨了美国英语形成自己独到的语言特色的规律。分析和研究这些特点能够加深我们对美国英语的认识,对于掌握美国英语的语言发展和演变规律,提高实际运用英语的综合能力具有重要的意义
This paper uses a large amount of material to elaborate the development characteristics of American English in detail from aspects such as the creativeness of American English in enriching languages, the preservation of the features of Old English, the absorption and melting of multi-ethnic languages, and the widespread use of slang. It demonstrates that American English has enriched and developed its own language system in many aspects such as spelling, grammar and vocabulary through the inheritance, induction, melting, creation and enrichment of its own language system. It also discusses the law that American English has formed its own unique language features. Analyzing and studying these characteristics can deepen our understanding of American English and is of great significance in grasping the laws governing the development and evolution of American English and improving the comprehensive ability to actually use English
