今年6月,是我国老一代著名版画家、中国画家彦涵的80秩寿,也是他从艺60周年纪念。中国美术家协会、中央美术学院特为他在中国美术馆举办画展。我有幸先拜读了参展的版画和中国画作品。看后不仅眼目为之一新,而且心灵大为震动,深为我国能有这样一位敢于突破传统、超越自我、永远走在时代前面的艺术闯将而惊喜和感奋不已。将要开幕的决不是一般性的作品回顾展,也并非普通的纪念活动,而是彦涵近年在艺术上开拓进取、锐意求变、大破大立、创作最新成果的亮相。这对于同时期的老画家来说,无疑是个挑战;对于广大中青年画家来说,将会产生有益的启迪和积极促进作用;对彦涵本人
In June this year, it was the 80th birthday of the famous Chinese painter Yan Hyeon, the famous printmaker of the older generation, and the 60th anniversary of his art. The Chinese Artists Association and the Central Academy of Fine Arts specially hold an exhibition for him at the National Art Museum of China. I was fortunate to read the printmaking and Chinese painting works. After watching not only one of the new eyes, but also greatly shock the soul, deep for my country to have such a dare to break the tradition, beyond the self, always walking in front of the art of breaking through the surprise and excitement. It is not a general retrospective of artworks to be opened, nor an ordinary commemorative event, but an appearance of Yan Han’s pioneering work in art in the recent years. This is undoubtedly a challenge for the old painters of the same period; for the young and middle-aged painters, it will have beneficial enlightenment and active promotion; to Yan Han himself
