1977年秋,中国农业科学院李竞雄教授从墨西哥“国际玉米、小麦改良中心”带回76份玉米群体改良材料,经我所试种、鉴定,从中筛选出墨白1号和墨白94号。1979年进行区域性测试,由于适应性广、抗逆性强,群众喜爱,1980年即扩种到42万亩;1981年推广面积早造达102万亩,晚造达43万亩,并已发展到云南省的巧家、绥江、蒙自、景东等县和上海市郊区。
In the autumn of 1977, Professor Li Jingxiong from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences brought back 76 improved maize populations from the “International Corn and Wheat Improvement Center” in Mexico. After testing and identification, we selected Mo Bai 1 and Mo Bai 94 from them. Regional testing in 1979, due to wide adaptability, strong resistance, the masses love, expanded to 42 million mu in 1980; to promote the area in 1981 as early as 1.02 million mu to build late construction of 43 million mu and has Development of Yunnan Province, Qiao home, Suijiang, Mengzi, King County and other suburbs of Shanghai.
