Recent U.S. Air Force flight tests have shown that conventional inertial navigation systems on F-15 fighters can be replaced with Honeywell ring laser systems without any modification to the wiring and installation. The test also showed that the navigation accuracy of the ring laser gyro was significantly higher than 0.8 sea 浬 / hour
