佛法的传播与发扬离不开佛学大师们的佛经翻译,有了历史上众多的翻译大家,佛法才立足于雪域高原,被人们接受和所信仰,才有今天渗透到藏族人民生活方方面面的藏传佛教。随着大力弘扬佛法的同时,也很重视佛经的翻译,但在翻译佛经的过程中,出现了一些翻译上的弊端,与原文意义不符等现象,针对这些问题,翻译大师们撰写了藏族历史上第一部翻译理论著作《语合二要》,本文简单地从赤松德赞的兴佛到语合形成做一简单的概述以及对现实的意义。
