保丰绿茶,即武汉市洪山区九峰乡保丰村林场生产的绿茶.其品种有毫锋、银芽、龙井、毛尖、珍眉等.保丰绿茶于1971年问世,便非同凡响.1982年首次参加武汉市茶叶评比便获奖.此后,不仅在市级评比中年年获奖,还进入湖北省名优茶的行列.1986年保丰毫锋被评为省优良产品,次年被评为省优质产品,1993年上了一个新台阶,毫锋与银芽均获省一等奖,1994年,毫锋获省优良奖,银芽获省特等奖,在全国性的“94中国陆羽杯”茶叶评比中荣获一等奖.自此,保丰绿茶不仅名满三镇,还在《湖北名优茶》一书中占有一席之地;不仅进入全国名茶行列,还受到联合国环保组织官员以及朝鲜、泰国、日本等国际友人的赞誉.保丰绿茶不愧为江城茶中佼佼者.
