流行音乐作为众多音乐类型中的一种,深受中学生们的喜爱,不管何种音乐都是人类的音乐,“任何对一些人来说是有意义的音乐都应该受到尊重”一个在音乐文化这一特别常见的文化现象中有其自身的价值,并与其他音乐表现形式具有同等价值。“因此当流行音乐与其他音乐一样具有等同的地位时,它的学习价值才得以体现。建立在音乐人类学基础之上的学校音乐教育使用流行音乐其意义无疑是深远的。
