“巨额债务已成为制约高校发展的重要因素,个别学校甚至资不抵债,隐患凸显。这些问题如果没有得到很好的解决,将很有可能给中国的高等教育带来一场深刻的危机。”全国政协常委、江苏省苏州市副市长朱永新在接受记者采访时,如是坦言他对高校发展前景深为忧虑。
“Huge debts have become an important factor restricting the development of colleges and universities, and even some schools are insolvent and the hidden dangers are prominent. If these problems are not properly solved, they will most likely bring a profound crisis to China’s higher education.” Zhu Yongxin, member of the standing committee of the CPPCC National Committee and deputy mayor of Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, admitted frankly that he is deeply concerned about the prospects for the development of colleges and universities.
