弗·司各特·菲茨杰拉德(1986-1940)是二十世纪二十年代美国杰出的小说家之一,也是爵士乐时代重要的代表人物,如今,其代表作《了不起的盖茨比》每年的销售量都有近百万册,同时大量关于菲茨杰拉德和《了不起的盖茨比》这部小说的理论研究和讨论不断涌现。《了不起的盖茨比》作为一部描绘爵士时代的完美脚本,与当时的整个时代和历史都有着密不可分的关系,本文研究了《了不起的盖茨比》中涉及并记录的真实历史事件,一是富勒麦基事件;二是菲茨杰拉德和吉妮芙拉的爱情,从而探寻小说背后真实历史事件的秘密。
Firth Scott Fitzgerald (1986-1940) was one of the prominent American novelists in the 1920s and an important representative of the jazz era. Nowadays, his masterpiece “The Great Gatsby” Nearly one million copies are sold each year, and numerous theoretical studies and discussions of Fitzgerald and The Great Gatsby are emerging. As a perfect script for describing the jazz era, The Great Gatsby has a close relationship with the whole era and the history of the time. This article studies the real historical events involved in and recorded in the Great Gatsby, The first is the Fullekey event; the second is the love of Fitzgerald and Jeannie Furla to explore the secrets of real historical events behind the novel.
