在冬小麦高产抗倒育种中,正广泛利用诱发突变体。如,在矮秆突变体“-1”的遗传基础上,培育出了中矮秆品种“赫尔松纪念麦”、等,其产量在灌溉条件下均达86—91公担/公顷。在培育杂种材料时,还利用了突变体“方穗2”(中秆高产类型,用0.025%亚硝基乙基脲溶液处理品种“无芒1号”的种子,在M_2代选出。)、“1”(高产突变体,用同样方法由品种“高加索”育成。)和“突变48”(克拉斯诺达尔农业科学研究所由品种“无芒1号”育成)。
