The money market is an important component of the financial markets. Its level of development is of great significance in the reform of the financial system, in the operation of commercial banks, and in the conduct of monetary policy of the central bank. Since the beginning of 1998, China’s money market has developed rapidly, laying an important foundation for the implementation of a pro-active fiscal policy, and a prudent monetary policy.
