水力资源是用之不尽的循环能源,而且具有成本低、供电质量稳定、以及能适应电力系统负荷变动等优点。自1980年石油危机之后,重新引起日本对水力发电的重视。据日本第五次水力资源调查,尚未开发的水力资源还约有13000MW,相当于已开发的70%。其中大部分属于经济性稍差的引水式中小型水电点子。为此改进水电设备性能是促进开发剩余水力资源的重要课题。
Hydraulic power is an inexhaustible source of renewable energy, and has the advantages of low cost, stable power supply quality, and adaptability to power system load changes. Since the oil crisis of 1980, Japan has rekindled its attention to hydropower. According to Japan’s fifth survey of hydropower resources, the undeveloped hydropower resources have also been about 13,000MW, equivalent to 70% of that already developed. Most of them belong to the less economical water diversion type small and medium-sized hydropower points. To improve the performance of hydropower equipment for this purpose is to promote the development of surplus water resources an important issue.
