Recently, our editorial department in the letter of visit, some readers on the occupational hazards of welding operators made an inquiry, hoping to publish some of this knowledge. There are also a few grassroots health personnel that: “Every year to adhere to the health inspection of workers in electric welding, once found to be abnormal, immediately transferred from the dust operations will be able to.” It seems that once the welder is out of welding operation there will be no pneumoconiosis. But they forget that not touching the productive dust does not mean that the dust that has entered the body does not work, because the dust that has entered the lungs through the breathing can not be removed at once, and it can continue to function and even cause disease. For this reason, we have asked Dr. Hong-Fa Zhang, who has been working in industrial hygiene for many years at Xingang Shipyard Workers’ Hospital, to write an essay. Although this essay is about the shipyard welders, it is believed that this article can also provide reference for township and village enterprises in preventing and controlling diseases and occupational diseases. As well as causing electricians to attach importance to dust prevention and personal protection to enhance the working environment so as to promote the industry of welding operation to prevent health hazards and enhance production.
