据各地调查,板栗空棚率一般在30%左右,有的地方更高。板栗母枝上雄花可多达500—700朵,而两性花只有1~3朵。因此,要板栗增产,必需增加能结实的花量,提高结实花对雄花的比例。通过多年对板栗花器不同生理发育阶段的解剖观察,找出了原因:产生空棚是由于在双受精作用完成,初生胚乳细胞分裂一圈游离核以后,不再继续分裂,受精卵发育所需有机物质未能从胚乳细胞中得到,因此合子不能发育成胚,造成空棚现象。试验研究证明,选择胚囊发育时期供给外源营养元素,能比对照增加雌花50%左右,又能有效地控制空棚的发生,大面积提高板栗单株产量。该项技术已于1984年经中国林科院和江苏、浙江、安徽等省专家审查鉴定并获成果奖。在再试验与推广中,进一步完善了配方,研制完成了
