城冲乡位于舒城县西南山区,板栗、茶叶、林业、中药材、食用菌是该乡的五大经济支柱产业。近年来,该乡坚持“以资源优势发展支柱产业,以科技进步带动规模发展”的路子。把农业和农村经济增长转到依靠科技进步和提高劳动者素质的轨道上来,全面实施农科教结合,促进了全乡农村经济的发展,提高了群众的科技意识和科技贡献率,加速了全乡两个文明建设步伐。1997年该乡被确定为六安地区第一批科技示范乡镇,并被评为先进单位,1998年被省农科院确定为省农科院科技示范基地,1999年该乡常院村申报了全国农科教结合示范村。 该乡建立科技示范园,发展高效农业具体做法是:全力主攻,大力发展,全面实施。
