初次泄精,是指男性少年的第一次梦遗或手淫,这是男子进入青春期的一个重要信号。据北京市1963～1964年有关调查结果表明,初次泄精的平均年龄是16.6岁。近年来初次泄精年龄有提前趋势,一份资料表明,据600名20～25岁的青年学生回忆,初次泄精的平均年龄为15.17岁。有趣的是,为什么到了这个年龄会初次泄精,精液怎样会从无到有,又是怎样泄出的呢? 驱动精液产生的动力在儿童时代,尽管孩子嬉戏顽皮,性器官却基本处于“沉睡”状态,当然也不会有精液产生。精液所以会从无到有,主要决定于下述两方面的内分泌活动:
