作者所带的班级中90%都是外来工子女,他们的英语基础相当薄弱,阅读方面的问题尤为突出,阻碍正常的英语学习。新的英语课程标准对学生的阅读能力提出更高的要求,要改变现状,快速提高学生的阅读水平,尝试通过组建课外阅读小组促进学生自主地进行课外英语阅读。作者介绍了英语课外阅读小组的组建、课外阅读活动的实施,并对实施后的效果和问题进行了反思。
About 90% of the classes brought by the authors are migrant children, who have a rather weak English foundation and are particularly concerned with reading problems, hindering normal English learning. The new English curriculum standard puts forward higher requirements on students’ reading ability. In order to change the status quo and rapidly improve the students’ reading ability, the new English curriculum standard tries to promote students’ independent English reading through the formation of extracurricular reading groups. The author introduced the establishment of English extracurricular reading group, the implementation of extracurricular reading activities, and carried out a review of the effects and problems after the implementation.
