天涯镇,正是古今文人墨客眷顾的“天之涯”、“海之角”。她依山傍海,四季如春,浪漫怡人。天涯镇内辖闻名遐迩的天涯海角景区,东连三亚湾海坡旅游度假区,西接南山佛教文化苑、大小洞天旅游区;南临大海,坐拥15公里长的黄金海岸线;北靠云梦岭山脉,与毛公山风景区毗邻。全镇面积为112平方公里,管辖8个村(居)委会,共有78个自然村,115个村民小组,常住人口36143人,其中黎族近九成。镇中心距三亚市区约22公里,225国道、西线高速公路、西环铁路贯穿其境,交通十分便利。
